Picture this: a quiet afternoon ceremony in Santa Barbara garden followed by dreamiest outdoor luncheon you ever did see. Add in a sea of gorgeous blooms by Mindy Rice plus Alexandra Kolendrianos coordinating every last detail, and you’ve got the makings of a wedding day perfection. Peek through the lens of Megan Sorel right this way.
From Megan Sorel Photography…Patty and Michael’s incredibly beautiful and intimate afternoon wedding took place in the private grounds of Lotus Land in Montecito. Guests were greeted by the sounds of guitar, violin and cello and were offered minted lemonade and champagne as they entered the natural surrounding amphitheater. Foliage, florals and stone accents surrounded them while they said their vows.
A thoughtful luncheon took place following their ceremony in a open air tent draped in sheer fabrics with the most beautiful tabletop florals. First course started off with individual charcuterie boards filled with delicious meats and cheeses. A guitar duo set the mood, while guests were in awe of the colors, details and smells that surrounded them in this intimate setting. Two feasting tables with soft ivory linens were adorned with gorgeous, garden style florals. Shades of apricot, peach, champagne, buttery yellows and greens were the colors that soften and enhanced the space. Place settings with gold accents complimented. Organic and romantic was the setting.
Guests dined, took in the surrounding environment from landscape to table top and enjoyed the most beautiful summer afternoon soiree! Congratulations to Patty & Michael on your beautiful wedding!

If bright, preppy hues and perfectly styled peonies make your heart sing – welcome to your happy place. Designed to perfection by Reverie Made, this inspiration shoot features one of the most historic venues nestled on Cape May. Add endless sunshine and Lilly Pulitzer-inspired linens to the mix and you’ve got yourself a scrumptious shoot worth swooning. See it all from the talented Kay English right here!
From Kay English… Kay English, ReverieMade and Congress Hall collaborated on this inspiration wedding photoshoot. We were inspired by Lilly Pulitzer and bright cheerful colors for a destination beach wedding. Congress Hall is a historic hotel in Cape May, Cape May County, New Jersey, United States, occupying a city block bordered on the south by Beach Avenue and on the east by Washington Street Mall. It is a contributing building in the Cape May National Historic District. Several Presidents have stayed at the location including Ulysses S. Grant. Many celebrities also frequent the hall. This was the perfect backdrop for a summer resort wedding. The interiors at Congress Hall, including the vintage couch, were the perfect decor for a resort wedding. Lilly Pulitzer inspired fabrics and table linens added the perfect ambience to the shore setting.
The shoot was inspired to bring out the charm of Congress Hall in a ‘Jackie O in the Hamptons’ way. Bright, preppy colors mixed with classic silhouettes. The mostly-peony bouquet by Reverie Made, was fluffy and bright, and the boutonnière complemented the Vineyard Vines bowtie. The centerpieces added the perfect pop of color to the mod navy linens.
Unique wedding colors inspiration with bright reds, pinks and Navy in a modern style with the elegant look. Gorgeous beaded gown and many photos taken on film below. Unique wedding invitations and gorgeous couch with croquet, ice cream and tablescape.
